New Better Living For Texans Home

Better Living for Texans (BLT)’s website has officially closed, and all BLT programs have been rebranded and transferred to the Nutrition Department. In addition, all current active BLT series and user account logins have been transferred as well.

Past BLT data of non-active BLT series reside in the Agent Portal.

"BLT" Simplified

All forms have been greatly simplified; the print forms on this website reflect the latest versions. Such as all SNAP-related questions have been removed.

If current "BLT" forms are being used, they may contain fields that no longer exist. When entering data, please enter only the information that is in the "Nutrition" forms.

Race/Ethnicity Combined

In BLT, both Race and Ethnicity were separate choices. To correspond with TAMED, Race/Ethnicity is now combined into one dropdown with only one choice available. The new race selections are:

American Indian or Alaskan Native
Asian
Black or African-American
Hispanic / Latino
White
Prefer not to respond
